Sea Matilda BEZ

L3 International Management
Dr Sea Matilda Bez est maître de conférences à Montpellier Management Institute (Université de Montpellier). Ses activités de recherche incluent un doctorat sur “Strategizing and Managing Coopetition”, un post-doctorat à UC Berkeley avec Henry Chesbrough sur “open –coopetition”, et un rôle dans le comité de pilotage d’un projet Horizon 2020 DiHECO spécialisé sur les plateformes numériques en santé. Elle a organisé plusieurs conférences telles que WOIC et publié des articles dans des revues internationales telles que Technovation. Ses thématiques de recherche en plus de la coopétition sont l’engagement entreprise-startup et plus récemment les plateformes de feedback patients en santé.
Par ailleurs, en plus de la recherche, elle est en charge du bachelor en International Management à Montpellier Management Institute et enseigne à un large éventail d’étudiants de la Licence 1 au Master et à l’EMBA. Elle a également donné des présentations invitées devant des directeurs de l’innovation et des responsables d’alliances de la Silicon Valley ou d’entreprises françaises. Elle a aussi été impliquée dans un projet pour favoriser un environnement de collaboration entre universitaires et praticiens pour Avery Dennison, Enel, Tech Mahindra. Ses conférences qui remportent le plus de succès auprès des praticiens sont « Manager la coopétition : le bon et le mauvais» ; « Pourquoi et comment poursuivre une innovation Moonshot : une innovation qui résout un ODD » « Coopérer avec des concurrents pour s’engager avec des start-ups » et « la valeur cachée des plateformes de commentaires des patients »
Dr. Sea Matilda Bez is an associate professor at Montpellier Management Institute (University of Montpellier). Our research activities include a Phd on “Strategizing and Managing Coopetition”, a post-doctoral position at UC Berkeley with henry Chesbrough on “open –coopetition”, and a role in the steering committee of a Horizon 2020 project DiHECO specialized on digital platform in health. She has organized several conferences such as WOIC and published articles in international journals such as Technovation. Her research team in addition to coopetition is the corporate-startup engagement and more recently patient feedback platforms in health.
Moreover, in addition to research, she is in charge of the bachelor of International Management at Montpellier Management Institute and teaches a broad range of students from Licence 1 to Master and EMBA. She has also given invited presentations in front of innovation directors and alliance managers from the Silicon Valley or French companies, and been in charge of fostering some collaborative environment between the academic and practitioner for Avery Dennison, Enel, Tech Mahindra. Her lectures that have the most succes in front of practitioners are « Unlock value with coopetition : the good, the bad and the ugly»; « Why and How pursue a Moonshot innovation : innovation that solve a SDG »; « Cooperate with competitors for engaging with start-ups » and « the strategic hidden value of Patient Feedback platforms ».
